Logistics Manager

Langley, BC

The Logistics Manager is a critical role for ECCO’s overall supply chain management and will be involved in the strategic planning and coordination of all interbranch transfers of product. The goal for this role is to manage the entire order cycle as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Duties:

  • Maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees
  • Read and comply with ECCO’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Read and comply with ECCO’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures
  • Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work

Logistics Management:

  • Ensure the distribution model provides exceptional service delivery at best value for ECCO
  • Review and continually improve ECCO’s handling of goods throughout the sourcing and distribution network
  • In concert with Procurement, secure, coordinate, and manage services provided by transport / logistics providers
  • Manage compliance to customs requirements; monitor and advise of relevant international trade regulations
  • Direct activities of Traffic Manager to ensure optimized service delivery and adherence to ‘best value’ goals
  • Maintain insight into industry and logistics trends in order to benefit the organization in the marketplace
  • Working with Inventory Manager to oversee inventory needs
  • Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability
  • Report regularly to Director of Mfg. Operations about plans, progress, and problems that could affect costs and schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain processes (e.g. inventory planning, warehouse management)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
